SCOTTIE JAMES is one failed assignment away from losing the degree she’s spent years fighting for. Given one final opportunity to redeem her grade, she’s assigned to follow the Pinecrest Wolves hockey team through their season and produce a feature article good enough to earn her place back in the journalism program. It should be simple enough—observe practices, interview players, write reports.

BENNETT GRANGER has enough problems without a journalist shadowing his every move. As captain of the Pinecrest Wolves, the pressure to drag his team to the Frozen Four is already crushing him, especially when his body is beginning to fail him behind the scenes.
